Today, I completed my first long distance run (over 16 miles) in preparation for the Marine Corps Marathon. I managed to complete a little over 19 miles, although I had to walk the last 2 miles. It's not unusual for me to slow to a walk in the last couple of miles; the training benefits are still there. Below is a link to the course I ran on the Heritage Trail between Monroe and Goshen, NY.
