Managed to finish 6 trail runs with the Running Club North in Fairbanks. This is a great group and it has been a real challenge. The last run for me was a 10k run on the University of Alaska Fairbanks ski trails. This group sponsors a couple of runs every weekend. The culmination is the Equinox Marathon in September. This is one of he toughest marathons in the world and I hope to complete it someday.
In 2002, we fell in love with Alaska and purchased property near Fairbanks. Our Alaska log home was built in 2003 by Bill Kisken of Log Weavers here in Fairbanks. Bill is an artist, who uses the hand scribed Swedish cope system. Notice how tightly the logs fit at the ends, this is very diffucult to achieve. We retired in 2013, and moved our residence to Alaska.
