Summer Reading List

Summers at our home in Alaska are a great time to make connections with reading. Fairbanks has an excellent public library, where we spend at least one afternoon a week. The 24 hour daylight provides plenty of quiet reading opportunity. Here is my summer reading list:

• Full of Bull: Do What Wall Street Does, Not What It Says, To Make Money in the Market by Stephen T. McClellan
• Live Your Road Trip Dream: Travel for a Year for the Cost of Staying Home - Phil White
• Honor Bound by W.E.B. Griffin. My father-in-law Harold Sattlethight (1stSgt. U.S.M.C. retired) connected me with the books by W.E.B. Griffin a few years ago. I had been reading the series The Corps.
• Stonewall in the Valley: Thomas J. Stonewall Jackson's Shenandoah Valley Campaign, Spring 1862 by Robert G. Tanner. My wife's great-great grandfather, Asbury Payne, fought up and down the Shenandoah Valley with Stonewall. Asbury was finally captured at the Bloody Angle and sent to a Yankee prison in Elmira.
