In 2002, we fell in love with Alaska and purchased property near Fairbanks. Our Alaska log home was built in 2003 by Bill Kisken of Log Weavers here in Fairbanks. Bill is an artist, who uses the hand scribed Swedish cope system. Notice how tightly the logs fit at the ends, this is very diffucult to achieve. We retired in 2013, and moved our residence to Alaska.

Christmas Ski

The skiing on the Two Rivers Trails was excellent this year. We managed to ski at least a few miles every day. There is some concern over a wolf pack that has been attacking dogs in Two Rivers over the last few weeks; however we saw no sign of wolves. We didn't see any moose either, which may be why the wolves are attacking dogs. Wolves catch moose in the deep snow during winter in Alaska. This year the snow is not deep enough to slow down a moose. In fact, they have stayed in the low valleys so far this winter, where the food is more plentiful.
