In 2002, we fell in love with Alaska and purchased property near Fairbanks. Our Alaska log home was built in 2003 by Bill Kisken of Log Weavers here in Fairbanks. Bill is an artist, who uses the hand scribed Swedish cope system. Notice how tightly the logs fit at the ends, this is very diffucult to achieve. We retired in 2013, and moved our residence to Alaska.

Happy Fourth of July!

This is turning out to be a great summer. Cathy and I walk the "wood road" behind our place every day. Our personal reading lists (see below) are going well. I've got a new workout routine: three day rotation-- Day 1: 100 push-ups. Day 2: 50 pull-ups. Day 3: 200 Flat on Back Bicycles and 200 crunches. Don't do all the reps at once of course. Just complete them throughout the day.
