In 2002, we fell in love with Alaska and purchased property near Fairbanks. Our Alaska log home was built in 2003 by Bill Kisken of Log Weavers here in Fairbanks. Bill is an artist, who uses the hand scribed Swedish cope system. Notice how tightly the logs fit at the ends, this is very diffucult to achieve. We retired in 2013, and moved our residence to Alaska.

Congratulations to Allen Moore

Our good friend Allen Moore has won the Copper Basin 300 for the second year in a row. He and his dog team made an amazing come from behind victory in the last few miles of the race. Allen ran beside his dog team for the last 20 miles in extreme conditions. You can read about the adventure at their blog maintained by Aliy's sister Kaz.
Photos are by Mark and Brad Henspeter from the Copper Basin 300 web site collection.
